As a cosmopolitan city, Hong Kong should be equipped with international-level sports facilities. The Fanling Golf Course had a long history and is surrounded by many historical monuments and old trees. The golf course serves as the venue for many large-scale competitions every year, which help to enhance Hong Kong's international image as well as benefit the tourism industry. I agreed with the Government proposes of paying extra attention to the proportion of private sport clubs (including Fanling Golf Course) expanding their facilities for public’s participation when reviewing the "Private Recreational Leases", and should adjust the rent in accordance to the incomes and profits made in order to contribute the community.
