Dear Fellow Industry Members,
The Chief Executive has delivered her 2019 Policy Address on October 16. Due to the special social atmosphere that has emerged recently, this year's policy address is different from those delivered in the previous years. Rather than being announced on the day of the policy address, some relief measures for the industry were launched earlier in batches. For the tourism industry, a number of relief measures have been announced by the Government in August and September in response to the practical situation and advices suggested by industry members. During which, many of our members have submitted to me a number of recommendations (including the opinions collected at the seminar held on October 3), which I have already proposed to many Government departments. While some of these have already been implemented, I shall be actively following up on those that are not.
The table attached shows comments recently collected from members from the tourism industry. Those measures launched by the Government and related units that target the tourism industry are also listed for everyone's reference. You are most welcomed to continue providing your valuable suggestions, for I shall continue to communicate with various Government departments and strive for implementation.
