Disabled people nowadays have an increasing demand on travel. As a renowned international city, Hong Kong should promote its support for barrier-free tourism in order to provide convenience for tourists from all over the world. On 27 June, 2017, I was invited to attend a sharing session organized by the Alliance for Barrier-free Tourism (the Alliance), from which I heard different views and aspirations on promoting barrier-free tourism in Hong Kong. In this connection, I have also written to the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) and the Hong Kong Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (HKAAPA) to express concerns. Meanwhile, I also invited the Alliance and the Outbound Committee of TIC to exchange ideas on 18 July, 2017. Through communication and discussions, we hoped to further promote Hong Kong's barrier-free tourism and overcome the difficulties encountered by tourists during their stay.
