While the Policy Address has proposed to explore the development of green attractions by working with the local districts to promote sustainable green tourism development and improve the supporting arrangements, the Budget has also reserved additional funding for developing green tourism. However, many of the popular green tourist attractions currently lack ancillary facilities, which directly affected the visitors’ experience. In this regard, I have expressed my concern in different occasions and hoped that the Government will achieve its aim by well execution of its policies. It is hoped that well-developed, standardized and sustainable green tourist attractions in the potential areas throughout Hong Kong will be developed.

Between March and July 2018, I have arranged display of banners in various districts to support the development of green tourism
