Support For The "Hong Kong National Security Law " Refining The Electoral System Bringing Back Safe Environment To The Tourism industry

Benefited from the Central Government’s policy of opening up individual travel, coupled with Hong Kong's own traditional tourism resources and shopping advantages, Hong Kong’s tourism industry, especially in terms of the number of mainland tourists, grew rapidly between 2004 and 2019. However, due to insufficient Government planning, Mainland tour groups and tourists affected the daily lives of people living in residential areas such as To Kwa Wan and Sheung Shui. Such contradictions were exploited by the opposition groups and were escalated into political issues. The initiation of the so-called "Anti-Locust" protests intensified the contradiction between Hong Kong and the Mainland. In addition, the social riots in the second half of 2019 had also greatly reduced the desire of Mainland and overseas tourists in coming to
Hong Kong.

Due to the HKSAR Government was unable to effectively govern the situation, the Central Government had no choice but to take action to maintain the prosperity and stability of the Hong Kong society.

The "Hong Kong National Security Law" and the optimization of the electoral system have brought along social stability. I believe that after the epidemic has eased and cross-boundary tourism has resumed, more and more tourists will return to visit Hong Kong, and Hong Kong's economy will also gradually recover. As long as Hong Kong can fully enter the country's internal circulation and external circulation in the future, our tourism industry will definitely have more rooms for development.

In this regard, I expressed my views on different occasions:

11-12 September 2021
As a member of the election committee, I joined the roadshow activities with the slogan of "Improve Electoral System, Ensure Patriots Administering Hong Kong" for two consecutive days. Apart from promoting the new election system, I also listened to the opinions of the citizens and reflected their views and concerns to the Central Government and the HKSAR Government in a timely manner.
